Waar blijven de broeken? - Delft Denim

Where are the jeans?

"We hear you thinking: 'When can I finally order a Delft Denim jeans?'\

"Your patience has been tested for some time now, we understand. Developing a completely new pair of jeans and all the aspects surrounding it takes a long breath. Of course, we could have chosen to take the short route and quickly throw together a pair of jeans so that a real Delft Denim could be ordered quickly, but that is not who we are and how we work."

Delft Denim stands for high quality and sustainability and not just any pair of pants that can end up in the container in a year, maybe two. No, as far as we are concerned, you wear our jeans for years and feel happy every time you put them on. And that requires craftsmanship, making choices, testing, trying, going back to the drawing board, testing again, and staying critical. We do all of this with you in mind. Because you are the ones we do it for and whom we think about all day long. We have only one goal in mind: to make everyone's life a little bit better.

State of affairs

"Okay, great that the process takes a long breath, but what does the coming time look like?"

The good news is that we have now received the first prototype. We have shared some details of this on our Socials over the past period. The washing and further finishing is still very basic and requires the necessary adjustments, so that is being worked on further. However, this first prototype has given us a good idea of what works and what doesn't, and we are endlessly examining the jeans inside and out to see what can be improved. Every stitch is meticulously handled by us.

"Before we enter the sampling process with our final manufacturer, we will make definitive decisions in the coming weeks about the washings and the fabrics we will use in the jeans. For example, a boyfriend jeans will contain little to no elastane, so it sits comfortably and has a rugged look, while the tighter models will move a bit more easily with the body."

Timeline

"By the end of this year, we expect to start with the samples and smooth out the last wrinkles in the designs. At the beginning of 2024, after a lot of tweaking and twisting, we expect to have our pre-production sample in hand, after which we can finally start the official production. All of this will take a few months, and we expect to have all the jeans in by summer. Then there will be photoshoots with our models, and at the end of summer we will launch, and you can order your ideal Delft Denim model. Make sure you don't miss it and be one of our Delft Denim pioneers!"
